Plan description

Walk in Shiretoko National Park, a World Natural Heritage Site, with snowshoes during the snowy season. If there is no snow, walk without snowshoes. As you walk through the natural forest, you can see waterfalls and huge icicles flowing in the Sea of Okhotsk, and drift ice depending on the season. You can mainly observe Yezo deer and wild birds. You may also see eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are natural monuments.

☆ Winter limited snowshoe experience! It's flat so even beginners can rest assured ☆ 彡

Snowshoes (Western snowshoes) are compatible with shoes from approximately 14 cm to 28 cm. It does not walk on steep slopes like mountain climbing, so it is ideal for beginners' experiences. If there is no snow, walk without snowshoes.

☆ A treasure trove of wild animals! Encounter rare creatures depending on your luck ☆ 彡

Yezo deer and small birds can almost certainly be seen, and it is a rich forest where you can usually meet foxes and woodpeckers. If you are lucky, natural monument Steller's sea eagles and white-tailed eagles may fly over and hunt in the sea of drift ice. Nocturnal Ezo Momonga is also active in the daytime because March is the breeding season.

    Rental cars are available at the airport, Abashiri Station, Shari and Utoro. Memanbetsu Airport-Utoro Onsen Airport Liner operates for a limited time. The night coach Eagle Liner from Sapporo goes straight to Utoro Onsen.
