Plan description

The Shiretoko Five Lakes are a scenic spot that represents Shiretoko. Surrounded by virgin forest, you can walk around all five of the mystical lakes on the ground walkway and the elevated boardwalk. Walk through the forest where many wild animals and plants live and experience the majestic nature of Shiretoko up close.

We will guide you to one of the eight scenic spots of Shiretoko, the Shiretoko Five Lakes.

You can walk around all five lakes on the ground walkway and the elevated boardwalk. (Walking distance: about 3 km, walking time: about 3 hours)

Rainwear and boots available for free rental

You can participate empty-handed. If you wish to participate, please let us know the size and number of people when making your reservation.

Free shuttle service to accommodations in the Utoro area available

We also provide free transportation to accommodations in the Utoro area. Please let us know the accommodation you would like to be picked up from when making your reservation.

About rental items Free rental items: Rainwear (top and bottom separate type) Men: M, L, XL sizes, Women: S, M, L sizes. Rain boots 17cm to 30cm. *First come, first served, limited number available. If you would like to rent these items, please let us know when you make your reservation.

Matters require attention ・We cannot guarantee 100% that you will encounter wild animals. Please be aware of this in advance. ・If the walking trail is closed due to the appearance of a brown bear, we may change to another walking location. ・If you are late for the meeting place or time on the day of the tour, you may not be able to participate in the tour. ・In the event of light rain, the tour will proceed as usual. Please prepare rainwear. ・In the event of bad weather, we will contact you to cancel the tour approximately one hour before the start of the tour. ・There are generally no toilets during the tour. Please be sure to use the toilet before departing. ・If you are not feeling well, please be sure to consult with the staff. If we ask about your health condition and determine that it is difficult for you to participate in the tour, we may refuse your participation for safety reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience.
