道の駅に集合、そこから自転車で上り、樹海の入り口まで行きます。樹海入り口からは徒歩で風穴まで行きます。風穴(洞窟のよう)は真っ暗で自分たちの懐中電灯の光のみを頼りに入っていきます。中は岩場で塗れていたり凍っている個所もあり、靴はそういう場所に適したものを履いていったほうが安全です。街を歩くような靴だと、滑ったり足首を痛めたりする可能性が高くなると思います。 私はフルサスペンションのオプション(2,300円)付きで事前支払いしました。説明に「ハードテイルからフルサスペンションにアップグレード」とあったので、オプションで追加料金を支払ったほうがより快適だと理解しました。しかし、当日わかったことは、自転車で行くのは舗装道路のみで林道は走らない。「舗装道路でフルサスペンションを使うと駆動効率が下がるので、フルサスペンションはロックして使わないようにする」という説明がありました。そんなことを知らない利用者は、オプション料金を払えば何かいいことがあるように錯覚してしまうではないですか。ということで利用者が勘違いしないようにオプション料金表示をなくすことを提言し、このアクティビティで利用機会のないオプション料金は返金していただきました。 とは言え、ガイドの方はフレンドリーで、常に私の体調を気にしてくださり、樹海や風穴の中ではいろいろ説明をしてくださいました。ありがとうございました。

After visiting Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine for safe climbing, move to Umagaeshi (the point where the horses were returned when the road became steep) and start trekking on the Fujiyoshidaguchi mountain trail, which has been used for a long time. This mountain trail is dotted with shrines and torii gates that tell the history of religious climbing.
