This is a bonfire experience at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site. You can participate empty-handed. A camping instructor will support you from starting the fire, so even beginners can feel at ease. It is possible all year round. In winter, you can experience the feeling of camping in the snow. If you wish, you can also experience batoning and feather stick making. The experience time is about 2 hours. It is a special experience of walking through a beautiful clear stream flowing from the vast beech forest of the World Heritage site Shirakami-Sanchi. A guide will accompany you, so you don't have to worry about river trekking even if it's your first time. Walk along a river so clean you can see the bottom. If it's hot, you can swim, jump in, or just let the gentle currents take you. Even adults can have fun with this activity. You will be wearing a life jacket so you can play safely. Lunch will be served on the banks of the clear stream. You may even encounter some living creatures. It's a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. [Totou Sauna at the Foot of the World Heritage Shirakami Mountains] Fujisato Town is a idyllic town at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains. Although it is a small town with a population of less than 3,000, it boasts rich nature and delicious water. Would you like to enjoy a snow tent sauna in this quiet town? At the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site, this tent sauna uses the pure white snow that falls as a cold bath. "Yugi" in "Yugi Sauna" means "snow" in Akita dialect. We recommend the snow sauna surrounded by majestic mountains. Restrooms, restaurants, vending machines, and Yutoria hot spring resort facilities are also nearby, so even beginners to the outdoors can easily enjoy the sauna. We also have a special aroma “Totoi water” and a “handmade sauna hat”. "Totoi water" is an aromatic water with a secret scent made from the blessings of the mountains. We use mugwort leaves provided by Albion, which is very popular among women, and mugwort harvested at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains. Sprinkle "Totoi water" on the hot sauna stones with a ladle, and the refreshing scent of the forest will spread throughout the tent. The air is heated, and it also causes perspiration. The handmade sauna hat is an original sauna hat that uses domestic (Fujisato Town) wool. With this hat, you can enjoy a leisurely sauna while protecting your head from the heat. Experience archery at a temple in Noshiro City at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Natural Heritage site. It is an experience that even beginners can do. After changing into a kimono, you will listen to an explanation of the history, spirit, and tools of kyudo at a quiet private dojo at Keisho-ji Temple near Noshiro's famous Kaze no Matsubara. After that, the instructor will carefully teach you how to do archery. The bow will be drawn while receiving advice for about an hour, and finally a competition will be held by all participants. The instructor is the chief priest of Keisho-ji Temple and a veteran with over 50 years of archery experience. Lunch (included in the tour price) is a bento box made with locally grown rice and wild vegetables. You will eat it by the side of the clear stream. It is a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. On rainy days, you can change to Shirakami Forest trekking.
