Shiretoko is a treasure trove of wildlife. On this tour, you will travel by car into the national park at night, and after a lecture, you will search for wildlife while riding in the car. During the snowy season, you will walk through Shiretoko National Park, a World Heritage Site, on snowshoes. If there is no snow, you will walk without snowshoes. Unlike in the summer, Kaminoko Pond can only be accessed on foot in the winter using snowshoes. A blue pond in a world of silver. What a strange sight. The water is so clean that you can see the bottom of the pond, which is about 5 meters long. On your return trip, your nature guide will provide easy-to-understand explanations about Hokkaido's nature while you stroll through the pine forest. A nature guide will take you through a world of nature that is far removed from the everyday world. Please enjoy Kaminoko Pond in winter. If you are participating, please arrive at Kiyosato Ihatov Hostel by 11:30. If you use JR, we will pick you up at JR Kiyosatocho Station. In the morning, you will take a hot air balloon free flight, taking a walk in the air in a hot air balloon over the world of white snow, viewing the drift ice from the sky, and in the afternoon, you will go to Kaminoko Pond on snowshoes. The hot air balloon free flight is an aerial walk of about 30 minutes. You can enjoy the great outdoors from the same perspective as the birds. You will touch the hot air balloon and have various experiences while being explained about the mechanism and principles of the hot air balloon. From the time you join the tour, you are also a member of the hot air balloon crew. After the hot air balloon free flight experience, you will purchase lunch at a convenience store and depart for a snowshoe tour to Kaminoko Pond. Snowshoe Trekking to Kaminoko Pond We depart for a snowshoe tour to Kaminoko Pond in a special car for snowshoe trekking guides. We head for Kaminoko Pond while enjoying a snow hike through the forest. You can see the wonderful Kaminoko Pond that can only be seen in the harsh winter. A nature guide will guide you to a wonderful world created by nature in the harsh winter. Along the way, you can search for rabbit and red fox footprints, encounter woodpeckers, and enjoy the great outdoors of Hokkaido. This is the first tour in Japan where you can do SUP with drift ice in the background. Drift ice can be seen floating in the Sea of Okhotsk, which is located in the northeastern part of Japan, every year. Drift ice season is from January to March, and drift ice SUP peak is from late February to the end of March. The drift ice SUP tour will be held in the Sea of Okhotsk in the Abashiri area. Hokkaido is the southernmost spot in the northern hemisphere where drift ice appears. If you're lucky, you might see animals from the Arctic waters, such as Steller's sea eagles and harbor seals. By all means, let's enjoy the extraordinary! It will surely be a wonderful memory.
