This place is like Kyushu can not imagine. It is near the 3 prefectural boundaries of Kumamoto · Miyazaki · Oita, the center of Kyushu, located at the foot of Mt. Aso, at an elevation of 780 m above sea level. Of course it is cooler in summer, sometimes less than minus 10 ℃ in winter. Can you believe that you can see diamond dust in Kyushu? In the vicinity, Himeyuri and Fukujusugi are growing naturally, and deer and wild boar comes in next pasture land etc. It is a rich natural place.

This plan is for children only, where you weave the weft into the warp threads prepared in advance. You can experience the traditional crafts of Kagoshima. Please join us for a hands-on experience where you can casually experience the beautiful colors of Oshima Tsumugi and the joy of hand weaving. *Recommended for children aged 6 to 10 (height 120 cm or more). After the experience, you can stroll through the elegant Japanese garden, which changes with the seasons, and the Amami-style garden, which recreates the primeval forest of Amami.

Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other cloth products with plant dyes to create original scarves in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.

This is a night program held in the Kozue Corridor Canoppi Garden. A trilogy of observing glowing mushrooms, starry skies, and observing insects at night. After receiving an explanation at the meeting place, Kozue Corridor Canoppi, we will explore the forest in the park.
