Yurigahama is a mysterious beach that can only be visited for one week around the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar. We will guide you on a glass boat. The white sand is called "star sand". It is named for its star shape, and it is said that if you take home as much sand from Yurigahama as your age, you will be blessed with good fortune. *Yurigahama only appears when certain conditions such as spring tide and tide level are met. Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other fabrics with plant dyes to create original handkerchiefs in deep colors.
