Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other cloth products with plant dyes to create original scarves in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.

It is a plan to make an original bracelet using Oshima Tsumugi thread produced in the workshop in the hall. A bracelet made by inserting a wish written inside the braid is very popular as a wonderful memorial! The length is made to suit the customer, so it can also be used as an anklet! Why don't you participate in making a strap with your precious thoughts? Yurigahama is a mysterious beach that can only be visited for one week around the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar. We will guide you on a glass boat. The white sand is called "star sand." It is named for its star shape, and it is said that if you take home as much sand from Yurigahama as your age, you will be blessed with good fortune. *Yurigahama only appears when certain conditions such as spring tide and tide level are met. If it does not appear, you will only be able to enjoy the glass boat tour. *The glass boat to Yurigahama is set to the time of lowest tide.
