Take the local bus "Yamabiko Express" directly from the center of Kumamoto to Aso! This plan takes you to Kusasenri, a spectacular spot you definitely want to visit if you're visiting Aso, and the world's largest caldera, the Aso Nakadake Crater. Kusasenri is a great location to see the smoking Nakadake. You can also enjoy Akagyu Hamburger at restaurant douce Nucca, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Kusasenri. *The fare for the shuttle to see the crater of Mount Aso is not included. Head to the top of Mount Aso on the Aso Crater Line Transfer to the Aso Crater Line bus in front of Aso Station (departing at 9:55 until June / 10:25 from July onwards) and travel to Aso Mountain Terminal. You will have about an hour of free time before the Aso Mountain Terminal departure for the Aso Crater Line (departing at 11:25 until June / 11:55 from July onwards)! Enjoy a tour of the Nakadake Crater and more.

Lunch and free time at Kusasenri [Aso Crater Line] Take the bus from Aso Mountain Terminal to Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum (about 5 minutes) and enjoy lunch of Akagyu Hamburger at the restaurant "Douce Nucca". After lunch, you will have free time until the bus departs (15:00 in front of Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum)! Please enjoy the magnificent view of Aso to your heart's content.

Transfer to Aso Station and free time Take the Aso Crater Line departing from Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum at 15:00 to Aso Station (arriving around 15:28). You will have about an hour of free time until the departure of the Yamabiko train! There is also a popular roadside station within walking distance.

Board the Yamabiko train from Aso Station Take the Yamabiko Express bus bound for Kumamoto to Kumamoto City. Arrive Aso Kumamoto Airport at 17:22. Arrive Sakuramachi Bus Terminal at 18:00. Arrive Kumamoto Station at 18:08.
