The Meiji era playhouse Korakukan is still actively performing live performances (popular theater and other) for over 100 years. The first half of 2024 will feature a boys' review show by "Jun Kanzaki & 10carats" from late April to early June, and "Yumeiro Theater Company" from mid-June to late July. This theater company was formed just for the Korakukan performances, and it's interesting that the performers change every year. The second half, from August 3rd to October 27th, will feature popular theater by the Shitamachi Kabuki Group. The performances will be performed by Hiroshi Hitomi (Hanagata Subaru Toma) → Kaito Shingetsu → Toru Mimine (Hanagata Takahashi Shigeki) in rotation for about one month each. Please enjoy a performance at the Korakukan, a playhouse that is still in operation after a century. Kosaka Town in Akita Prefecture is a town that prospered due to the Kosaka Mine. In 1910, the Meiji-era playhouse "Korakukan" was built as a welfare facility for the Kosaka Mine employees. The exterior of the building is Western-style, while the interior is purely Japanese-style. Shiretoko is a peninsula surrounded by the sea. You can walk through a wonderful environment where you can feel the nature created by the mountains and the sea. The afternoon virgin forest walk is a private walk through the wilderness where you hardly meet any people. It is recommended for those who want to walk in a special place different from others, such as those who do not want to walk in the same place as other guided tours. Depending on the season, there are places where you can walk while pushing your way through tall vegetation. In the morning, everyone visits the Shiretoko Five Lakes. You can enjoy a leisurely walk for 3 hours. The nature guide will guide you through the Shiretoko ecosystem in an easy-to-understand manner on a course of about 3 km with few ups and downs. You can take a walk while feeling the powerful nature of Shiretoko while taking a peek at the lives of wild animals. The lake quietly nestled in the virgin forest is an attractive field. In the afternoon, it is a virgin forest trekking. You will walk through the virgin forest and aim for the Sea of Okhotsk. You can enjoy the magnificent view from the cliff coastline. A walk where you encounter many wild animals will give you a different kind of excitement than the Shiretoko Five Lakes. A nature guide who knows Shiretoko inside and out will show you the best scenic spots. This is the recommended course of the Shiretoko guided tour, where you can see, feel, and experience the great nature of Shiretoko from the animals' point of view. If you are staying at a hotel in Utoro, we will pick you up at the hotel. Why not enjoy the World Heritage Site with transportation included? . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------*From May 10th to July 31st, the price will be 14,100 yen for adults and 8,700 yen for children. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------*The start time of the guided tour may change depending on the reservation frame for the Shiretoko Five Lakes lecture. It is usually scheduled to start around 8:00 to 9:00. *Please note that there is a limit to the number of participants, so depending on the timing of your application, we may not be able to accept your application due to full capacity. Please note that if the "Shiretoko Five Lakes Ground Path" is closed due to a brown bear sighting or other reasons, regardless of weather, on the day of the guided tour, we will reschedule your tour to the "Shiretoko Five Lakes Elevated Boardwalk" + "Another Course Outside the Shiretoko Five Lakes" or "Another Course Outside the Shiretoko Five Lakes." Please be aware of the above before applying.

Nokogiriyama is known as a lesser known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. With its jagged ridgeline resembling the teeth of a saw, and the remains of the quarry where Boso stone was quarried by the stone-cutting industry until the Showa era, it looks like an abandoned building, and this otherworldly space that appears in the middle of nature has become popular. On this tour, you will pass through the streets of Kanaya, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry, and climb the "Sharikko Road," a road that once transported quarried stone, with a guide. While enjoying the climb, which is low above sea level but has a large elevation difference, you will feel the breath of the craftsmen of the time, and trace the history of how Boso stone supported Japan's modernization and declined over time.

Nokogiriyama is known as a low-profile mountain on the Boso Peninsula. On its southern side is the grounds of Nippon-ji Temple, the imperial temple of Emperor Shomu, which will celebrate its 1,300th anniversary in 2025. This plan is a half-day tour to experience the charms of Nokogiriyama Nippon-ji Temple, starting from JR Yasuda Station, walking along the main approach to the temple and climbing Nokogiriyama from the mountain gate. Once inside the Nippon-ji Temple grounds, you can enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the tallest Buddha statue in Japan (as a seated statue and rock-carved Buddha), as well as the 1,500 arhat statues arranged on the mountainside. Climb the stairs to the top of the mountain, pass by the famous photo spots "Hell Peek" and "Hyakushaku Kannon", and then use the ropeway to return down the mountain.

A private trekking tour with a guide around the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a lesser-known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. This is a special tour that allows you to enjoy the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a unique mountain where the remains of the stone-cutting industry that supported the region and the Buddhist world of Nihon-ji Temple are back to back, all in one day! We start by walking through the streets of Kanaya, which flourished as a stone-cutting industry from the Edo period to the Showa period, and then head to the Nokogiriyama Ropeway Station. After entering the grounds of Nihon-ji Temple and worshiping the "Hyakushaku Kannon," we trace the scenery and history of the remains of the quarry, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry and now stands like an ancient ruin. After that, we proceed while listening to the guide's explanations about the sights such as the famous photo spots "Peeking into Hell" and "1,500 Arhats," and the tallest "Great Buddha" in Japan (as a seated statue and rock-carved Buddha), and finally descend the mountain by ropeway and disband. *There will be a lunch break along the way.

First, we will go to Kamiishi-kun Kumano-za, famous for its pilgrimage route decorated with nearly 100 lanterns as if you were lost in a dream world. On the way, there is Kuroto-iwa, which is said to be a huge wind tunnel protruding from Onihachi, a symbol of faith that overcomes difficulties. The shrine's sacred tree, the Nagi, is also an ideal place to make a wish, as it symbolizes matchmaking and business prosperity. Next, head to Amanoiwato Shrine to experience the mystical charm of Japanese mythology. Amanoiwato Shrine is an ancient sacred site dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami. The Tenyasu River within the shrine grounds was originally a popular place to make wishes by piling stones, signifying that wishes would be fulfilled and good fortune would come. In addition to the sacred pilgrimage of worshippers, you can also experience a traditional blessing ceremony. Afterwards, explore Takachiho Gorge, a beautiful valley formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. The cliffs towering on both sides of the valley and the Manai Falls, which give a sense of majestic nature. On the approximately 1 km promenade, you can leisurely stroll through unique scenery such as the "Kihachi Power Stone" and three arch bridges from different eras (Shinbashi Bridge, Showa Bridge, and Shinto Takachiho Bridge).
