Would you like to try making a traditional Japanese onigawara? I have made and restored many onigawara, so I will teach you individually. The size is about palm-sized. It will take about 3 hours, but the time it takes to complete varies from person to person. Once it is completed, your name and the year it was made will be written on it with a spatula, and the experience will end. There are onigawara with open mouths and closed mouths, familiar to us as the harmony of Aun (Aun's harmony), Agyo and Ungyo, so please make the one you like. *I have been studying English for the past 3 years.

This small studio is located 4.8km east of the World Heritage site Himeji Castle, a 15-minute drive away. Why not try a pottery experience in between sightseeing? This is a plan for a 3-hour experience. In the pottery experience, you can make all kinds of tableware (tea bowls, vases, plates, glasses, etc.). Bizen ware clay or a blend of Bizen ware clay and red clay is used, and the pottery is fired in an electric kiln. The firing color is ash-covered or scarlet-striped. *I have been learning English for the past 3 years.

At the Wazuka tea plantation, we offer a Wazuka tea picking experience from March to December. Koyasan is a sacred place of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai 1200 years ago. The entire area of Mt. Koya is called ``Kongobu-ji, the head temple.'' In particular, ``Okunoin'' and ``Danjo Garan'' are two of the most sacred places of worship. We will guide you through spots such as Danjo Garan, Okunoin, Koyasan Shichibenten, etc. in the style of a trainee monk. It is also recommended that you experience training in the same way as the former Shugenja, and visit the legends related to Kukai. This experience work is recommended for those who want to learn more about Koyasan. Half day and full day courses are available.

"Ko-Iga" is the highest peak of pottery in history, known as "exceptional beauty" in the world of tea ceremony, mainly during the Sengoku period, when Sen no Rikyu, Oda Nobunaga, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi were active, and the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Experience Awaji Iga making, a reproduction of the Ko-Iga making used in tea ceremony at that time, with one-on-one guidance from a craftsman who hand-made the largest six-tiered climbing kiln in Japan. Ko-Iga is fired at the world's highest firing temperature of 1400℃ for several days, which is unparalleled in the world, so the shape is distorted and sometimes it breaks when firewood is repeatedly hit against it, but the absolute presence and scenery that surpasses this are known as exceptional beauty. (*250℃-450℃ in a bonfire, 1500℃ in a blast furnace) Awaji Iga aims to revive Ko-Iga and values the invisible process and value, so it does not use modern tools such as burners and thermometers, or glazes that glassify the surface. During the Sengoku period, wars were taking place all over Japan, but no one really wanted war, and tea ceremonies served as a place for secret talks to avoid war. It is said that Ko-Iga was used as a special tool to hold a special tea ceremony, which could avoid war if successful, or lead to war if unsuccessful. At Tsurugi Kiln, you can experience the revival of Ko-Iga, which was used in tea ceremonies that determined history and people's lives and deaths, and the making of Awaji Iga pottery. *The actual experience is limited to the forming process. During the four days and nights of the kiln firing in February, you can visit the impressive site at any time. ◆ Handmade Japanese Paper Experience In this experience, you will make handmade Japanese paper using fibers from the bark of the paper tree (kozo), which is the raw material for Japanese paper. You will be able to use a blind, which is an authentic tool for handmade Japanese paper. We will explain how to make paper in an easy-to-understand manner for beginners, so please feel free to participate. You can experience learning papermaking techniques directly from a craftsman. You will learn how to process kozo, a traditional paper material, and hand-make about two sheets of Japanese paper in half a day to take home. ~Experience Flow~ 9:00 (13:30) Orientation An introduction to the types of Yoshino handmade Japanese paper, the experience procedure, and precautions. 9:20 (13:50) Workshop tour The papermaking process of kozo will be explained while looking at actual tools. 9:40 (14:10) Papermaking experience We will prepare the materials together, and each participant will take turns making paper. First, we will learn how to move the paper.
