It is a plan of about 3 hours to experience weaving about 18cm square foil fabric and to visit the workshop. The completed work is On the day You can take it home. Weaving is easy. Please experience the technique of the weaver. You can also shop. One weaving machine for the weaving experience is available.
In the workshop tour, you can visit the Nishikori workshop of textile artist Koho Tatsumura. Mr. Tatsumura is a person who has worked on the preservation and training of traditional techniques, and has worked on the restoration of "Ryokuchi Kacho Beast Bunnishiki", etc. You can see Nishikori's works, restoration cracks, high machinery, textile materials, etc. with explanations. You can also shop.
Everyone from elementary school students to the elderly can experience weaving. It is also used for those who want to try weaving once, want to experience traditional culture, children's independent research, study trips, etc. We have prepared one loom for weaving experience. 2 or more people will be in order.
The Japanese paper that serves as the base is coated with gold and cut into pieces of about 0.2 mm, which is called ``gold leaf'' in textiles. This is a traditional technique in which the cut pieces of gold leaf are hooked one by one on a special spatula and woven in the same way as weft threads.
