This is a full-scale electric potter's wheel experience plan that will help you realize your "I've always wanted to try this!". You can casually enjoy the comfort of touching the clay on the spinning potter's wheel and the fun of shaping with your own hands. With this plan, you can create up to two pieces per person. You can freely create teacups, small bowls, large plates, mugs, etc. according to your purpose and preferences. The rhythmic shaping process unique to the electric potter's wheel feels like you are talking to the clay. Enjoy your time immersed in the moist feel of the clay. You can choose from more than 10 types of glaze (color) within the experience fee. A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. In that case, please let us know how many people will be participating in the experience when making a reservation. If you are making a reservation for three or more, it will take a little longer. A swordsmith will teach you the techniques of Japanese sword making and spend a whole day making a short sword with a blade length of less than 30 cm. During the experience, charcoal cutting, tamaheshi, tsutsubokashi, forging, unbending, fire making, soil placement, quenching, and blacksmith sharpening will be performed. The sword will then be registered and sharpened at a later date, and will be shipped to your home along with a registration certificate. If you select an option, you can also choose a Japanese sword such as a wakizashi (large) (small), katana, or tachi.
