Let's make and eat traditional Japanese sweets in the cafe space at the back of an elegant store in the historical town of Kawajiri! A craftsman who was awarded the [Modern Master Craftsman] award in 2020 will carefully and kindly teach you how to make Japanese sweets. Demonstration first! The Goza Mesu Basket is a bamboo basket measuring approximately 20cm wide x 12cm deep x 14cm high, and is ideal for storing small items or serving food. After the experience, you will be treated to tea and sweets while we talk about bamboo, including videos and demonstrations.

This bamboo basket, called Shikai-nami, is about 13 cm in diameter and 10 cm in height. It was originally a flower basket, but can be used as a small item holder. It is made by weaving 16 bamboo strips provided. After the experience, you will be treated to tea and sweets, and a talk about bamboo will be given with videos and demonstrations.

Kunisaki Peninsula Touch the Rokugo Manzan culture. Sengfuku-ji, a Zen sect temple founded by an unauthorized Myo Zen priest in Kunisaki, where there are many Tendai sect temples, is a temple in the Soto sect of Kyushu Sohonzan. Here you can experience authentic zazen as a Zen temple.
