It is a 70-year-old traditional house that still retains its traditional earthen floor, hearth, and wood-burning bath. The couple, their three children, one dog, three cats, one goat, and five chickens run a bamboo basket shop and private lodging in a closed nearby elementary school that they use as a workshop.
