Kunisaki Peninsula Touch the Rokugo Manzan culture. Sengfuku-ji, a Zen sect temple founded by an unauthorized Myo Zen priest in Kunisaki, where there are many Tendai sect temples, is a temple in the Soto sect of Kyushu Sohonzan. Here you can experience authentic zazen as a Zen temple.
Kunisaki Peninsula Rokugo Manzan Culture, which opened in 2018 and celebrated its 1300th anniversary. You can experience full-scale zazen at a historic temple where you can feel the history.
Mr. Saikatsu, the chief priest of Izumifukuji Temple, will give you careful guidance.
Izumifukuji, a Zen Buddhist temple founded by an asanga Zen master, is the head temple of the Soto sect in Kyushu. At its peak, it served as a training dojo for the Soto sect, but during the Warring States period, like other Rokugo Manzan temples, the Buddhist temple and Kaisando were inevitably left behind and returned to ash. After that, the mountain gate was rebuilt by the owner of Nakatsu Castle, etc., and it has a history of reviving temple luck.
