Plan description

An English-speaking guide will guide you through the townscape of Kitsuki, which has not changed since the Edo period. Depart from the Kitsuki Local Products Center and go up the Bansho-no-saka slope to enter the Edo period. You can feel like a samurai at places such as Suya-no-Saka slope and Shioya-no-Saka slope, which separate Minamidai and Kitadai, and samurai residences from about 220 years ago.

Hitotsumatsu Residence A 90-year-old mansion built on a scenic site overlooking Kitsuki Castle, the Yasaka River, and Morie Bay.

Ohara Residence A senior samurai residence about 220 years ago. The Nagayamon gate, the thatched roof, and the strolling garden show the high level of formality.
