The Village Revitalization Project was born in response to the voices of many international visitors to Japan: "I want to learn more about Japanese culture" and "I want to experience it for myself, not just for sightseeing." The setting is a nostalgic village, about an hour's drive from the World Heritage Site Himeji Castle, featuring a rural landscape reminiscent of Japan's original landscape and a shrine that remains cherished to this day. However, with a declining birthrate and aging population, the local elementary school is facing the threat of closure. This project is more than just a sightseeing tour. It is a special journey that connects you with the local community and allows you to participate in building the village's future through an experience of Japanese culture. Begin with a strawberry-picking experience, where you can savor the sweetness of the season. After enjoying the deliciousness of freshly picked strawberries, take a break with a lunch plan featuring locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, we move to a different location and offer authentic Japanese cultural experiences, with daily specials including Japanese dance, shamisen, koto, and shakuhachi. The trip concludes with a tour of a historic sake brewery. You can learn about the sake-making process and enjoy tastings while listening to the brewers' thoughts.
