We will travel through hand-dug tunnels and idyllic backroads to the birthplace of fermentation. On this tour, you will visit Niwata Shrine, which is famous for the oldest description of sake brewing in Japan, recorded in the Harima Fudoki, and for being the birthplace of sake. You will also stop by **Harima no Kuni Ichinomiya "Iwa Shrine"** and visit mythical sites and historical shrines. At these spots, you will learn about the history and mythology of sake brewing and gain a deeper understanding of the historical background.
The cycling course runs through the quiet nature of the countryside, on backroads lined with rice fields. As you use an electric bicycle (e-bike), you can enjoy cycling at your own pace and without getting tired. You can enjoy the Japanese countryside as you pass through scenic spots, including a road that goes through a hand-dug tunnel.
During the tour, you can visit Yamazaki Sake Brewery Street and enjoy a healthy fermented food lunch. The lunch will provide healthy dishes to soothe your tired body after cycling, and you can enjoy fermented foods made with local ingredients. After lunch, you will have the chance to tour the sake brewery, where you can learn about the sake production process and have a valuable experience of learning about the history and traditions of local sake brewing.
