In the three-part experience, the gold lacquering process is shortened and you can experience the flow of gold lacquering! This plan allows you to experience gold lacquering in three sessions (2 hours for the first session, 2 hours for the second session, and 1 hour for the third session). We will repair chipped pottery using real lacquer, which is rare for an experience. The instructor is a graduate of the University of the Arts who majored in lacquer art and has studied lacquer in earnest. The class is small, with a maximum of four people, so you can receive thorough instruction. We will use sake cups in the experience. You can choose your favorite sake cup from a variety of colors. The sake cups were made by the instructor of Uzumako Pottery School. 1st session: Fill in the chipped part of the sake cup. Use a paste made from lacquer. (2 hours) 2nd session: Use a brush to paint lacquer on the part that was filled last time. Sprinkle powder on top of the paint. (2 hours) *Brass powder (gold) and tin powder (silver) are included in the price, but if you use gold or silver powder, there will be an additional charge (gold round powder 3,500 yen, silver round powder 1,000 yen). 3rd time: After drying for about a week, polish the powder and it's complete! You can take your work home on the day ♪ It's ready to use right away. (1 hour) *Please leave a week or more after each experience, and it will take about a month to complete. For reservations from the second time onwards, please coordinate your schedule with the instructor on-site.
