Plan description

If you were to ask what the ultimate form of sea kayaking is, it would have to be island hopping, or island hopping. An island is visible before your eyes. A sea kayak is the vehicle that makes it possible to get there under your own power. This course challenges you to cross islands that are over 5km one way. It is certainly difficult for beginners, so this tour is aimed at intermediate kayakers or those who are confident in their physical strength. *Island hopping is an activity that carries a great deal of risk. Please note that if the sea conditions are not suitable for island hopping or if the guest is unsure, the guide may decide to change to a regular sea kayaking course or a mangrove kayak.

To an island where coral and dugong legends remain and where regular ferries do not operate

Aragusuku Island, located southeast of Iriomote Island, is divided into two islands, Kamiji Island and Shimoji Island. For this reason, they are called Panari (detached). Kamiji is inhabited, but Shimoji is almost uninhabited. The island, made up of raised coral reefs, is attractive for its outstanding transparency and white sandy beaches. Departure from Ohara Port.

We head to Ruri Island, which can be seen from Uehara Port.

Hatoma Island, located north of Iriomote Island, is famous for being the setting for movies and TV dramas. Every May, a music festival is held on the island, making it a lively place. Coral reefs surround the island, and sea turtles can be seen even in the harbor. On the way, you can also visit Barasu Island, an island made of coral fragments. Depart from Funaura Port (towards Uehara).
