Enjoy SUP on the beautiful cobalt blue lake known as "Shiman Blue"! The most attractive thing about Lake Shima is the color of the lake water! Its unique blue color is called "Shiman Blue" and is so beautiful that people come from far away and repeat visitors alike. Lake Shima is also surrounded by broadleaf forests and is rich in birds, insects and other creatures. It is an environment rich in nature. With SUP, you can experience the charm of Lake Shima as if you were taking a walk by gliding on the water. In the "R-LABO" tour, we thoroughly teach participants according to their level, as we want all participants to enjoy SUP to the fullest. For SUP beginners, we carefully teach them how to stand and paddle on their own, and for intermediate and above, we teach advanced techniques such as turning and paddling in a gentle current and how to balance using a paddle. We also welcome people who just want to relax on the water on a SUP.
For beginners or those who just want to enjoy a relaxed SUP experience, we hold tours that allow you to experience the basic fun of SUP. We give a thorough lecture so that you can stand and paddle by yourself. You will be able to sit or lie down on the SUP and enjoy the scenery at your leisure. For intermediate riders, we teach advanced techniques such as turning and paddling in gentle currents and how to balance using a paddle! We offer tours according to the level of the participants.
The tour will be held on a lake with little wind and waves, so anyone from 4 years old can join the tour and enjoy SUP! We also recommend participating with the whole family. *Solo riders are generally OK for first graders! Participants from 4 years old can participate if they are riding with an adult (tandem)!
The SUP boards used are a wide selection of popular brands such as HALA GEAR, a Colorado-born brand specializing in river SUP, Marsyas, Starboard, and SOUYU STICK. Paddles are provided by Seek Truth, a long-established Japanese paddle sports brand. Using top-quality equipment allows you to attempt bold movements and delicate techniques on the board. We have carefully selected equipment to ensure you can enjoy the tour comfortably, including multiple SUP boards with high buoyancy for beginners, tailored to your weight.
