[Full-course SUP with lunch] [Guide accompanies you in the first half, rent a SUP at your own pace in the second half] You can enjoy Japan's cleanest river, Miyagawa, by exploring the middle reaches of the clear Miyagawa River at your own pace, passing waterfalls and tributaries along the way. In the first half, a guide accompanies you and gives a lecture on the basics of how to paddle a SUP. In the second half, once you have become accustomed to SUP, you can rent a board with a Verde special Miyagawa map and enjoy SUP to your heart's content. Anyone can participate, from small children (riders are 4 years old and over) to energetic seniors. This program is for those who want to enjoy SUP to their heart's content with lunch included.
Verde's SUP field, Miyagawa River, has been chosen as the cleanest river in Japan many times. The still waters created by the dam are friendly to beginners and beginners of water activities, and it has become a popular field for SUP and kayak enthusiasts who want to enjoy the jungle cruises on the tributaries and the crystal clear waters of the upper reaches. Verde is the only guide service that offers land-based outdoor activities on the Miyagawa River. We offer a quality time with guides who know every corner of the Miyagawa River inside and out.
We offer not only the beautiful field but also the fun of SUP itself. Verde's guides are certified instructors of the Japan Safety Paddling Association (JSPA). The calm waters of the Miyagawa River are the perfect field to start SUP. Experiences and tours are a chance to learn paddling skills. We provide safe and fun lectures for those who want to start SUP as a hobby.
Okuise is a mountain village that spreads along the clear Miyagawa River, which originates from the Odaigahara mountain range. It is located 150 minutes from Nagoya and Osaka. It has deep historical ties to the Kumano Kodo and Ise Shrine, and the entire region has been certified as a UNESCO Ecopark. The Verde outdoor program makes use of the rich natural environment of Okuise, including the Miyagawa River, the cleanest river in Japan, and Osugidani, one of Japan's three major canyons and a hidden area, and has people saying, "I didn't know nature was so close!"♪ ~Make your holiday special~

Plan attractions
Once you're able to paddle, you can do it at your own pace on a rental board. Recently, the number of people with experience in SUP has increased, so we have been receiving many inquiries about whether you only offer rentals. Verde offers safe guided tours. [First half] Guided tours to learn how to row SUP, practice getting back on the boat, and learn about the characteristics of the field. [Second half] No guide accompaniment. Enjoy with a rental board with a SUP map.
Safe for women and couples Verde activities have a lot of female guests. The beautiful scenery of Okuise and Miyagawa is a lifelong treasure that you will want to keep in photos and videos. Photos taken by the guide will be provided free of charge.
Take a break at Okuise Italian food Between lessons and rentals, take a break with an Italian lunch box. It's so popular that some repeat customers say, "I wanted to try this lunch!"
Time schedule
Set Please meet at the Verde Outdoor Base. It is next to the popular hamburger and donut shop "BOUQUET".
Reception and guide meeting Here you will meet your guide and we will explain the procedure. Please feel free to tell us anything you are worried about at the reception.
SUP lecture After the lecture on land, we head straight to the water. First, we review the basics of how to paddle a SUP. We will give you a detailed lecture so that you can paddle independently.
Lunchtime & Short Touring After a short break at lunchtime, we set off on a short tour on a rental board. Many guests have commented, "Jungle Cruise! I can't believe I can paddle a SUP like this!" The Verde special SUP map is a great help and a bonus of this plan.
Changing clothes, taking photos, and disbanding After getting out of the water, you will shower, change clothes, and then disband. Photos taken by the guide will be provided free of charge, so you can look back on your SUP memories.

Verde Outdoor Base is located next to the hamburger and donut shop "BOUQUET" at Momiji no Sato Park. After checking in at the meeting point, please move your car back to the parking lot.

Verde is an accredited school of the Japan Safety Paddling Association (JSPA), and our SUP and kayak guides are JSPA certified. In the mountaineering department, we belong to the Kumano Osugidani Guide Association, a local organization of the Japan Mountain Guides Association (JMGA). All of our staff not only provide safe and secure guided tours, but also strive to improve their skills and physical strength through conservation activities and daily training. We provide fun guided tours with safety as our top priority, which is our responsibility and foundation for enjoying activities in nature.
