Experience a waterfall walk at Tanashita Fudo Falls in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, which is one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. A female guide will carefully guide you on the manners of entering the waterfall. Why not express your heart through calligraphy? Write your favorite characters, mottos, and words for loved ones in kanji. The room is a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, but you can choose to practice calligraphy at a table with a Terakoya desk and chair in seiza. Let's enjoy experiences that you can't usually have, from practicing on Hanshi paper to creating works on colored paper and postcards! ~Experience flow~ ①Explanation of the experience plan and hearing. (5 minutes) While drinking tea, we will ask you about today's plan. ②The teacher will create a sample. (5 minutes) The teacher will write a sample of the desired calligraphy style and decide the activity content. ③Start practicing on Hannsi (Japanese calligraphy paper) (20 minutes) You will practice freely while adding explanations of brushes and kanji. Even if it's your first time, you can practice as many sheets as you like with free expression. ④A lecture before finishing the final work and an explanation of the points to finish the work. (10 minutes) If you would like to do a large-scale wall calligraphy performance, we will hold a first trial performance. If you wish, we will hold a lecture before finishing your work, such as making Shikishi (traditional Japanese square paper), postcards, or Sensu (traditional Japanese holding fan). We will travel around various places in a private car (taxi). From the "Cup Noodle Museum", you will have a guided tour of the "Kobayashi Ichizo Memorial Museum", a great man representing Ikeda, and the "Ikeda Castle Ruins". In the first part, you will have the opportunity to experience copying sutras and zazen at "Kyuanji Temple", which was founded by Gyoki Bodhisattva, was a temple established by Emperor Konoe, and was visited by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. For lunch, you will enjoy a specially planned "Nichireku Special" lunch at Hirakawa River. In the second part, you will visit the "Oshima Tsumugi Museum" to see the workshop and exhibits, take photos wearing Oshima Tsumugi, soothe yourself in the hot springs at "Fushiohkaku", and enjoy a "seasonal bento" lunch. With the guidance of a tea farmer who has been engaged in the tea industry for generations in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, you will learn about Japanese tea culture through the traditional game "Tea Kabuki" where you can drink the types of tea that have been passed down since the Muromachi period (1336–1573). You can hear from tea farmers who carry out all of the production, tea making, and sales in-house about the flavor and taste created from the ingenuity and commitment of the production site, and the depth of Japanese tea. There is a private small group plan (2 to 6 people) and a group plan (7 people or more) where you can also experience zazen in a temple. Even beginners can feel free to enjoy it!
