Why not make a wonderful cup as a memento of your trip to Kyoto? This plan is characterized by its ease, with the experience time being about 20 minutes (15 minutes for the experience + 5 minutes for writing your address and choosing the color). You can casually try this out to make memories in between your trips.
As someone who has never tried pottery before, the process was easy to understand. A teacher helps you individually every step of the way and shows you techniques to use, as well as explaining what the techniques do. They are able to teach in English well, and also take pictures of you. You also have some customizable options on what you create. The process did not take long at all, so it is a good activity for getting out of the sun or rain for a little while on a busy day. I personally enjoyed it greatly and look forward to having my cup be shipped to me once dried and glazed.

In this plan, you can choose your favorite from M course, tenugui (35cmx98cm), tapestry (45cm x 90cm), goodwill (45cm x 90cm), and the whole process of Japanese traditional craft "Rouketsu dyeing" "Drawing a picture" From dyeing to drying ”. No need for painting, even children are OK! !! A locust dyeing craftsman will carefully guide you. Choose from many sketches and combine them. Also, the original design is OK. Trace the sketch using a brush with wax, then put on boots, apron, and gloves and dye it yourself. After dyeing, remove the wax you drew and you're done. The part drawn with wax remains white as the original fabric without being dyed, and you can easily create simple and deep works dyed with wax, such as shades due to the thickness of the wax and crack patterns due to wax cracks. The work is completed in about 90 to 120 minutes and you can take it home on the day. ~ Flow of the day ~ ① There are many sketches available, so you can choose your favorite sketch from them. The original design is also OK ② Once the sketch is decided, trace the sketch using a brush with wax. Draw a rough sketch with the heated wax included in the brush. ③ Dye the cotton cloth with the sketch drawn with wax in the dye. Please enjoy the dyeing experience by yourself. ④ Soaping work: Put the dyed cotton cloth in a kettle with boiling water and remove only the wax from the cloth. ⑤ Wash the cotton cloth from which the wax has been removed, dehydrate it with a dehydrator, and then dry it. ⑥ You can take home the finished work on the day. Blessed with an abundance of underground water veins that spring up from the Momoyama Hills, Fushimi was once called "Fushimizu" (literally "fushimizu" in Japanese), and it is said that full-scale brewing began here about 400 years ago because the water was suitable for sake brewing. It flourished as a castle town and a port on the Yodo River on the Tokaido, and sake breweries with white walls stand out along the Uji River and canals. The streets of Fushimi, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of a sake brewing town, with ten-koku boats sailing among swaying willows, have been designated as the "Fushimi Minamihama Neighborhood Landscape Development District" by Kyoto City. ~Time Schedule~13:00 [Meet at the north ticket gate of Keihan Electric Railway Nakashojima Station] Meet in front of the sake barrel object located immediately after exiting the north ticket gate! This is where the tour begins! It's a flat road, but you'll be walking about 2 kilometers, so please wear comfortable shoes on the day. 13:15 [Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum] ☆ Includes tasting of three types of sake, including Daiginjo, and a special Gekkeikan sake cup☆ This building is a wooden storehouse built in the Meiji era that is still in use. You can drink the underground water used in sake brewing from the well in the courtyard. Just like Fushimi sake, it is very soft and delicious, so please try it. You will be surprised at how soft it is. In the exhibition room, you can see traditional sake brewing tools, which are designated as tangible folk cultural properties of Kyoto City. 13:50 [Fushimi Yume Hyakushu] ☆ Includes summer-only sake ice cream ☆ Shop & cafe "Fushimi Yume Hyakushu". In fact, this building is the former main store of Gekkeikan, which was built in the Taisho era. In addition to Gekkeikan, various Kyoto sakes and souvenirs are sold in the store. We have prepared a 3-type sake tasting set including appetizers here. 14:30 [Kizakura Kappa Country] ☆Kyoto's oldest local beer included☆ Kiizakura is famous for its sake commercials using kappa characters, but it is also the first company to make local beer in Kyoto. Therefore, in addition to the sake manufacturing process, Fushimizugura is characterized by the fact that you can tour the beer factory. After the tour, try tasting sake and beer in the lovely courtyard. 15:15 [Aburacho] ☆Authentic sake tasting set of three types☆ We have more than 80 types of sake from all 18 breweries in Fushimi, mainly ginjo sake and daiginjo sake, and more than 100 types including seasonal limited edition sake.
