Wazuka Town cultivates so many tea leaves that it is called the origin of tea, and even today it is a production area that produces just under 40% of Uji tea. At Wazukaya, the "Tea Soba Making Experience" using "Wazuka Tea" is very popular, but if you are going to make Cha Soba, why not try picking the tea yourself? At the Wazuka tea plantation, we offer a Wazuka tea picking experience from March to December. The set includes a tea picking experience and an experience of making tea soba, tea leaf tempura, persimmon leaf sushi, and kudzu mochi. You can enjoy the finished dish on the spot. Also, it takes about 30 minutes to get to Nara Park from Wazuka Town, so you can make plans that also include sightseeing in Nara.

We start by splitting real bamboo and making a platform for nagashi somen! We harvest the vegetables to be cooked in the pesticide-free vegetable field and cook them together. The menu is vegetarian (vegan). Enjoy freshly picked seasonal vegetables. Nagashi somen is an experience where you neatly assemble split bamboo and eat the noodles that flow under water. The nagashi somen platform made from real bamboo is very beautiful, fun and a wonderful experience. After the meal, you can also try your hand at bamboo crafts if you wish.

★Local time to experience nature, food, and people in Shirakami The Shirakami-Sanchi Mountains straddle Akita and Aomori prefectures, and the center was Japan's first registered World Natural Heritage Site. Fujisato Town is the base on the Akita side. Why not visit Fujisato to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some local time interacting with nature, food, and people in Shirakami? With this plan, you can easily experience the lives of local people who have lived closely with nature in the Shirakami-Sanchi Mountains since the Jomon period. You can rest assured that the area is close to the village and will be guided by someone who was born and raised in the area. First, you will visit a waterfall that is loved by locals. It is easy to get to, but it is full of a hidden feeling and is worth seeing. Next, you will experience picking wild vegetables. You will pick the most popular wild vegetable in the area, "mizu," while listening to a lecture from a wild vegetable picking expert. When you return to Mori no Eki, you will learn how to peel the wild vegetables you picked and cook them in the local way. Finally, you will have "gakko chakko" around a bonfire. In Akita, this is the term used to describe chatting with close friends over snacks such as gakko (pickles) and tea. Enjoy cooking your own wild plants and tea made with spring water from the Shirakami Mountains around a campfire. Ask about life in this area.
