The vehicle used is a type that rides over an ATV (North American specification, full size 4WD buggy), and although there is a sense of stability, driving is exciting. The guide will give a detailed lecture on how to operate it, and take a commemorative photo during the break during the tour. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this beautiful traditional village is the definition of postcard-like beauty. Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri Village is the village with the most remaining Gassho-zukuri houses. The name Gassho-zukuri literally means "like praying hands." Gassho-zukuri Village takes you back to pre-modern Japan. Climb the Shirakawa-go observation deck, look out over the village, and enjoy the view of a time gone by. Shirakawa-go is worth a repeat visit as it shows different looks with the changing of the seasons. The ski resort has four ABCD ski courses, the longest of which is 1 km long and has a drop of 150 meters, making it enjoyable for beginners to intermediate skiers.
