This is a tea mat weaving experience at the Genta Dyeing and Weaving Studio. Just choose your favorite color of thread and weave! From small children to the elderly, even first-time weavers are welcome♪ Foreigners can also enjoy weaving with hand gestures and go home. We have received comments that it is "pretty good" as a mouse pad. Since it is an indoor activity, you don't have to worry about the weather. You can experience it in the quaint workshop inside the castle of Aya International Craft. Staff who have been weaving for nearly 50 years will teach you carefully. ~ Flow of the day ~ ① Choose thread Choose your favorite color from the prepared thread. ② Staff explanation Staff will explain how to weave while demonstrating. ③ Weaving experience Feel free to weave. The Goza Mesu Basket is a bamboo basket measuring approximately 20cm wide x 12cm deep x 14cm high, and is ideal for storing small items or serving food. After the experience, you will be treated to tea and sweets while we talk about bamboo, including videos and demonstrations.

This bamboo basket, called Shikai-nami, is about 13 cm in diameter and 10 cm in height. It was originally a flower basket, but can be used as a small item holder. It is made by weaving 16 bamboo strips provided. After the experience, you will be treated to tea and sweets, and a talk about bamboo will be given with videos and demonstrations.
