This is a performance in which the "Kanji of the Year" character, which represents the state of the world for the year, is written large with a brush. "Taisho" means "to write large so that it is particularly noticeable." You can experience this "Taisho performance" at the popular Japanese culture experience cafe in Asakusa. There is no limit to the characters you can write. Please write your free ideas with a brush. Artistic calligrapher and contemporary artist Koji Takano will carefully guide you, so even beginners can feel at ease. Of course, you can take the completed work home with you. In a space that makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to an old Japan, we will present "Samurai Drama - An original story of MUSASHI, the master swordsman with two swords." You can watch the samurai drama show up close, just like in a movie. You can only experience this power and realism here!

This is an experiential calligraphy class for foreign tourists visiting Japan, business travelers, or foreigners living in Japan. Write kanji with a brush while calming your mind in a Japanese-style room in a Japanese-style private house. We have prepared approximately 30 kanji characters that are popular among foreigners, such as love, dream, mother, father, friend, and flower. If you have any requests for kanji that you would like to write, please let us know in advance and we will prepare a model for you! We receive many requests to write their name in kanji, so please let us know in advance the name you would like to write (only one person) and we will prepare a sample! You can use the name of a family member (only one name) instead of your own! In this hands-on class, you will polish the ink you use by yourself. You can see for yourself that the color of the ink gradually becomes darker. In addition, the tools used in calligraphy, such as brushes, paper, inkstones, and ink, are explained in an easy-to-understand manner using panels with photos. The lesson begins and ends with a seated prayer. We will also explain the etiquette of the zarei in an easy-to-understand manner! Start with basic writing techniques such as vertical lines and horizontal lines, practice the selected kanji on paper, and finally write them on the fan. You can take the fan home with you, so it also makes a great souvenir!

You can make pottery in a lush workshop surrounded by pleasant sunlight. Would you like to touch the soil and create a one-of-a-kind piece of work? Become innocent and enjoy the feeling of going deeper and deeper into yourself. [Things you can make] Tea cups, mugs, plates, etc. (You can make as many as you like within the time limit) *This is an experience only for making pottery (up to making the shape). We will do the carving and glazing. *It will take approximately 2 months for the work to be delivered.
