Choose the wood and length and carve your own chopsticks with a plane! You can also make octagonal chopsticks using a plane stand invented by a craftsman. A full-fledged handmade experience. Comes with paint so you can use it for a long time! An experience that can only be experienced here in the country! [Reservation required] Experience in the nature-rich Shinshu Azumino, where water, light, wind, and sky shine. ★Please contact us by phone if you would like to make a reservation on the day or if you would like to participate alone. Up to 15 people can experience in the workshop. For more than that, we can rent a city conference room and hold a group chopstick making experience, so please contact us by phone for details. The experience will be held in a home workshop. When you enter the room, the scent of wood fills the air... that alone will relax your mind! Concentrating on making chopsticks will refresh your mind and body! The fresh air, water, and light of Azumino will satisfy your five senses. Children from the third grade of elementary school can experience this! (For elementary school students, cypress wood is recommended, but Yamazakura wood is hard, so in most cases it cannot be shaved at all. Children younger than that should be watched by a parent or guardian.) Planing from a square piece of wood!? It may seem difficult, but our craftsmen will carefully teach you how to use the plane. We have been making chopsticks for 13 years. We have made chopsticks with over 13,000 people so far. Among the 10,000 people, there are famous celebrities and announcers (*^-^*) ~ Flow of the day ~ ① "Decide the wood and length." Decide the material of the chopsticks and the length of the chopsticks. ② "Explanation of the process ~ Start by being taught how to use the plane ~" Planes vary depending on the user! The amount of time it takes to shave varies depending on the individual's stance. Therefore, the time spent on chopstick making varies depending on each customer! ③ Process 1. Make the chopsticks thick enough to be easy to use 2. Shave off the corners 3. Polish with sandpaper 4. Add the name with a hot pen 5. We take them in and paint them.

We had such a wonderful time crafting our own unique chopsticks. Our Sensei was so kind, helpful and nice, we felt very welcome and comfortable. Making our own chopsticks including laser grooving of our names in Japanese letters was a very special experience and definitely one of our highlights in Tokyo. The shop was super cute, we were alone with our Sensei the whole time and she was the perfect host and instructor. Thank you so much for this special day!
