Chopstick making experience opens on December 10, 2024! ★Chopstick making experience recommended for couples and families★ This is a workshop where you can choose from 12 types of wood and the length, then carve and make your own chopsticks with a plane. Families and couples can have fun making their own chopsticks♪
Loved doing this activity! Friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Examples of engraving on all wood colors are posted on walls and at each working station. Engraving is an extra cost but worth the unique fun activity of your time in Japan.
スタッフの方々の説明が明らかに不足しています。初めの木を選ぶところでそれぞれの材木に対しての説明もなく、最後の名前入れの際にこの材木だとしっかり文字が出ずにボヤけた感じになるとやった後に説明された。すでに追加でお金を払ってからのこの説明はどうなのでしょうか？私達はカップルで行きましたが彼女のお箸だけ名前が薄く滲んで完成しました。初めからどうなるかわかっていれば同じ材木を選んでいました。私のお箸だけ綺麗に刻印されていて彼女が可哀想で使おうと思いません。
お金はいいですが大事な休暇の時間を無駄に過ごすことになったことが残念です。
私はオススメしないとはっきり言います！
このたびはご期待に添えない体験となってしまい、大変申し訳ございません。特に、木材の種類によって刻印の仕上がりに差が出ることを事前に十分にご説明できなかった点、深く反省しております。
ご指摘の通り、本来は木を選ぶ前、そして追加料金をお支払いいただく前に、しっかりと説明すべきでした。

We had such a wonderful time crafting our own unique chopsticks. Our Sensei was so kind, helpful and nice, we felt very welcome and comfortable.
Making our own chopsticks including laser grooving of our names in Japanese letters was a very special experience and definitely one of our highlights in Tokyo.
The shop was super cute, we were alone with our Sensei the whole time and she was the perfect host and instructor.
