Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other fabrics with plant dyes to create original handkerchiefs in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.

Would you like to try making a traditional Japanese onigawara? I have made and restored many onigawara, so I will teach you individually. The size is about palm-sized. It will take about 3 to 4 hours, but the time it takes to complete varies from person to person. Kintsugi is a repair technique in which cracks, chips, and other damaged parts of ceramics are glued together with lacquer and decorated with gold and other metal powder. It is also called Kintsukuroi. At our salon, we use simple lacquer instead of real lacquer, and we finish at a reasonable price. Tableware that holds a special meaning can be revived by Kintsugi, and upgraded by applying gold. We accept lessons and orders. The experience location is Minoh City, a city rich in nature in Hokusetsu, Osaka. 20 minutes by train from central Osaka Location: 10 minutes walk from Sakurai Station on the Hankyu Minoh Line, or at the Sakurai Station Cafe (At the cafe, we ask that each person order one drink) If a child of junior high school age or younger participates, a parent or guardian must apply and participate with them.
