Fuji, in Hakone City, and is a famous tourist spot in Hakone. Owakudani, a popular tourist destination in Japan, is the remains of a crater formed by a large eruption that occurred on the northern slope of Kamiyama about 4,000 years ago at the end of the Hakone volcanic activity. Most of the spring water in Owakudani is poisonous, so it is also called "Great Hell". It was not until Emperor Meiji visited in 1876 that the name was changed to Owakudani. Fuji attracts many photographers from far away to take photos. Oshino Hakkai is a nationally designated natural monument. This is a mixed tour, and participants come from all over the world.

Originally a villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu (the prototype of Shogun Yoshimitsu in the anime "Kei Ikkyu-san"), it was later converted into the Zen temple "Bosatsurei". A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. In that case, please let us know how many people will be participating in the experience when making a reservation. If you are making a reservation for three or more, it will take a little longer. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare before the closing time. We may be able to move the start time forward, so please contact us.
We had an awesome time at the knife making experience in master Masaya Yoshidas workshop. One of his apprentices, Robert, a native English speaker, instructed and helped us all the way to the finished product. We love the knife and now use it in our Kitchen on a daily basis. Robert also answered every question we had about the rich history behind the craft of Japanese sword making and we got to observe and chat with the master too. Your knife is made from the same Tamagahane steel as a Katana, so it's a really cool and practical souvenir. Thank you so much for having us! Great memories!

A swordsmith will teach you the techniques of Japanese sword making and spend a whole day making a short sword with a blade length of less than 30 cm. During the experience, charcoal cutting, tamaheshi, tsutsubokashi, forging, unbending, fire making, soil placement, quenching, and blacksmith sharpening will be performed. The sword will then be registered and sharpened at a later date, and will be shipped to your home along with a registration certificate. If you select an option, you can also choose a Japanese sword such as a wakizashi (large) (small), katana, or tachi. Registration, packaging, and shipping fees are all included in the price. *Due to the Firearms and Swords Possession Control Act, the swordsmith will engrave the swordsmith's name on the sword. It is possible to engrave the participant's name as well. In addition, registration and sharpening are required, so it will take 6 to 9 months to deliver the sword. *The address, name, and phone number are required for the owner's details for the registration review and for shipping the finished product. If they are different from those registered with Activity Japan, please be sure to contact us here. If there is no contact, we will register and ship the sword as is. *If shipping overseas, please check for yourself whether the country can receive Japanese swords. In addition, export procedures, packaging fees, and shipping fees will be required separately. The amount varies depending on the country, so please contact us in advance. Payment will be made in cash on the day. *Damaged or scratched acrylic cases cannot be repaired, so please handle them carefully.

Spend a full day creating a kozuka — a small decorative utility blade that was once concealed in the scabbard of a Japanese sword. The material used is the same as that used in real Japanese swords & tamahagane, the highest-grade steel in the world. During the experience, you will make a clay base (tsuchi-dai), inscribe a blade crest (yasurime), attach the blade, carve your name onto it, craft a kozuka case, and sharpen the blade to complete the piece. Our studio is the only place where you can experience both making a kozuka and sharpening it yourself. You will learn the Japanese sword-making process through hands-on work. Striking and shaping iron, and seeing the wave-like patterns emerge, is something you cannot fully understand until you try it yourself — making this a truly valuable learning experience. The experience is tailored to each participant’s ability, so minors and women are also welcome — there’s no need to worry. You are welcome to take photos and videos during the process! The fee covers the experience for one kozuka. Two or more people can work together to make one, but please let us know in advance when booking. If you wish to make more than one, please note that it will take approximately one extra hour per additional piece. Please allow plenty of time before the expected end time. It is also possible to start earlier upon request & feel free to contact us.

Local people with high ideals have worked hard to create a tourist exchange facility where anyone can stop by and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ine. There are facilities such as an information center, restaurant, and cafe. "Hiyori" means clear and good weather in Japanese. The appearance of the seawater sparkling in the sunlight is the most ideal expression of "Funaya Weather". There is also a boathouse that you can visit. ▼INE COFFEE: is a Japanese modern design that focuses on a simple and clean style. The seaside cafe is very attractive, with colorful pillows, and sitting here and looking at the sea is a completely relaxing and soothing atmosphere. However, the best view here is from a corner on the first floor. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Ine Bay. It's a wonderful view. There is an "INE CAFE" logo on the table and two heart-shaped sunglasses on the chair. Basically, the cafe has set up a special area for taking photos and checking in, which is amazing. The beautiful view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows is like a postcard, and it makes you feel like time has stopped. Let's also visit the unique boathouse ~ the first floor is a cabin and the second floor is a private house. This unique structure is a "Funaya", a feature unique to Ine Town. In keeping with the delicate changes of the four seasons in Japan, there are materials and patterns that can only be worn for a limited period of time. Some patterns are considered auspicious, while kimonos with flowers, animals, and insects have their own meanings. Kimono is something that Japanese people are familiar with, but isn't there a lot of knowledge they don't know about it?
