Japanese eels are born in the western waters of the Mariana Islands. They grow in rivers not only in Japan but also in East Asia, including China, Taiwan, and the Korean Peninsula, and are known to return to the Mariana Islands to spawn. Japanese eels (Anguilla japonica), which belong to the Anguilla genus of the eel family, are widely distributed in East Asia, including Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea. In Japan, they mainly live south of Honshu, but there have been cases of them being caught in Hokkaido. Rental tackle, fishing rod, and equipment are included, so you can participate empty-handed. We will meet at Fukadai Ninja Village, move to my house, which is 3 minutes away, and travel by electric bicycle (with child seats on both sides) to experience catching insects in the forest and spring water. First, we will search for rhinoceros beetle larvae in the compost, then enter the spring water in fool boots (free rental) and search for river crabs, fish (Buddha loach, oil minnow, Moroko, loach), and dragonfly nymphs (giant dragonfly, blue dragonfly, small dragonfly). The tour lasts about 2.5 hours.
