Smelt fishing is a fun fishing that can be said to be a "winter tradition" in which a hole is made in the thick ice that covers the surface of the lake with a special drill to catch a beautiful fairy-like smelt under the ice. When it gets cold, you can enjoy fishing while warming up in a dedicated tent, so it won't freeze in the cold.
