What is a packraft? Originally conceived as a portable travel (exploration) tool in Alaska, it was developed to enable travelers to navigate through all kinds of wilderness, including mountains, rivers, oceans, and valleys. A "packraft" is an inflatable boat that can be easily packed into a backpack and easily inflated for paddle cruising or downriver riding on lakes and rivers. Tour Overview: At 1,269 meters above sea level, Lake Chuzenji in Nikko National Park is the highest lake in Japan. Pack your packraft in your backpack and head out for a trek! Trek through the pristine, quiet forest, untouched by traffic and open only to foot traffic. Experience the history and natural beauty of Lake Chuzenji, including the former British and French Embassy Villa and a deep beech forest, as you make your way along the lakeshore toward the beach. Once you arrive at the deserted beach, take in the stunning views of Lake Chuzenji and Mount Nantai towering across the shore, then sit back and relax on the sand. "Is this Japan?" The climax comes when you inflate your own packraft and set off from the beach in the clear waters where fish swim, onto Lake Chuzenji, where you can enjoy the spectacular mountain and lake views created by Nikko's natural beauty as you paddle. This tour is limited to one group per day and offers a full experience of Lake Chuzenji, Japan's highest lake, through trekking and cruising. <Tour Schedule> 9:00 Meet at One Plate - 9:15 Meet at Tobu Nikko Station - 10:00 Meet at Utagahama Daiichi Parking Lot - 10:30 Start trekking - 11:30 Lunch break on the beach - 12:30 Start packrafting - 14:00 Arrive at Utagahama Parking Lot - Disband Utagahama around 14:30 - Disband Tobu Nikko Station and One Plate around 15:30 *Route and time may change depending on wind direction, weather, etc.

Dress code - Must bring items	◎Top: T-shirt, long-sleeved T-shirt, or windproof or cold-resistant jacket depending on the season. Bottom: Shorts, long pants, or spats that can get wet. Water will drip from the paddle. Please dress with the expectation that your bottom and feet will get wet. Wetsuits are available for rent depending on the season and temperature. ◎Backpack (Rucksack): Since backpacks will generally get wet, we will provide a 40L backpack with a packraft inside. Please use the remaining space to store your own warm clothing, drinks, etc. *If you would like to bring your own backpack that can get wet, please bring it with you. 35-40L or more is recommended. ◎Footwear: Sneakers or sandals with a secure heel that can be worn for about an hour on flat ground and can get wet. (You can wear sneakers while trekking and sandals when packrafting.) ◎Drinks for hydration, Lunch (carry in your backpack; easy to carry is best), ◎Bath towel, change of clothes ◎Other (if necessary): Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and medications

If you arrive by car

①OnePlay-it: Take the Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC to the Nikko Utsunomiya Toll Road and exit at Nikko IC. Then take the Nikko Kaido and turn right at the Matsubaracho intersection. Cross the Kirifuri Ohashi Bridge and continue straight, then go uphill for about 500m and it will be on your left.

If you arrive by train

①OnePlay-it: Get off at Tobu-Nikko Station on the Tobu Nikko Line or Nikko Station on the JR Nikko Line, take a bus bound for Kirifuri Kogen, and get off at the Shimomarumi bus stop. (It is about a 15-minute uphill walk from the station.)
