For those who want to enjoy Yakushima's natural beauty at their own pace, we recommend renting an electrically assisted bicycle. Easily navigate the island's many ups and downs, and enjoy an eco-friendly trip. Electric Bicycle Rental Rates: 1 day: ¥5,000, 2 days: ¥8,700, 3 days: ¥11,000, 4 days: ¥14,300 (additional charge applies). 1 night/1 day: ¥5,000. *Prices include tax. Includes: Electric bicycle, helmet, and lock. Recommended Activities: Cycling to Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge: Access the entrance to the Mossy Forest without a car. Experience the closeness of nature. Western Forest Trail: A cycling route unique to Yakushima that runs through the World Heritage Site. You might even spot Yakushima deer or Yakushima macaques! • Nagata/Inakahama area Head to Japan's best sea turtle nesting ground. The spectacular sunset view is also recommended. ⸻How to use 1. Make a reservation in advance (same-day rentals are also possible if there are spaces available) 2. Pick-up and drop-off available at the store in Miyanoura or Miyanoura Port 3. Enjoy cycling around the island freely 4. Upon return, staff will inspect the bike for you ⸻✅How to use • Take care when riding in the rain. • Please check the battery level frequently. • There are few convenience stores on the island, so please prepare drinks and other items in advance. ⸻Make your trip to Yakushima more free and closer.
