Famous for its mysterious mist and the lake that combines hot springs and crystal clear water, this lake is an amazingly beautiful tourist attraction. The lakeside Tenju Shrine and the torii gates in the lake create a mysterious and fantastical atmosphere, as if you were lost in a fairyland. *If you love animals, Kyushu Natural Zoo is a must-see. Sea Hell Umi Jigoku is a mysterious blue hot spring that was formed when Mount Tsurumi erupted 1,200 years ago. Jinlin Lake Finally, we came to Lake Kinrin, the most famous lake in Yufuin. Lake Kinrin was originally called "Takemotoike" or "Takeshitaike" because it is located at the foot of Mt. Yufu. However, in 1884, Confucian scholar Maori Konsan saw the golden scales of a fish in the lake shining under the setting sun and named it "Lake Kinrin". Lake Kinrin has a circumference of about 400 meters and a depth of 2 meters. Hot springs flow from the west side of the lake bottom and clear water flows from the east side. Due to the temperature difference between the hot springs and the clear water, when the temperature starts to drop, the surface of the water becomes misty and beautiful and mysterious. The world of mist and confusion is very fantastic. It's quite a mysterious lake. Tenshu Shrine, located on the shore of Lake Kinrin, has a torii gate standing on the lakeside that exudes the beauty of the mist and creates a fantastic space.
