Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park

(3/21-4/14, 6/18-7/10, about 50 minutes, change sightseeing time at Lake Kawaguchi to 60 minutes) Oishi Park, where the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center is located, is a park facing the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the Oishi district on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. It has also become famous as a scenic spot for Mt. Fuji, and photographers visit almost every day to take photos of Mt. Fuji and flowers. In spring, you can enjoy moss pinks and rape blossoms on the 350-meter-long flower path. Along with Yagisaki Park on the south shore, it is known as a lavender park and is the main venue for the Kawaguchiko Half Festival. Lavender begins to bloom from late June and can be enjoyed until mid-July. The view of the lake and Mt. Fuji beyond the lavender is unique to Oishi Park.

Lake Kawaguchi Maple Corridor

(10/20-11/23, approx. 50 minutes, change sightseeing time at Lake Kawaguchi to 60 minutes) Located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, the Momiji Corridor is, as its name suggests, a road lined with giant maple trees. With Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi in the background, it is a spectacular spot where many people visit every year to enjoy the autumn leaves. The Momiji Corridor, which is over 1.5 km long, was originally planted by local residents in the Taisho era to prevent disasters after rivers in the area flooded. For this reason, the locals have a strong attachment to the area through handmade events such as the Autumn Leaves Festival. It is a spectacular spot that is fun to visit during the autumn leaves season, where you can also enjoy cycling and walking.
