Welcome to Japan! This is a special plan for travelers from overseas at the glass craft sandblasting headquarters classroom. Let's make a wonderful original glass with sand-scraped glass sculpture. "Sandblasting" means to scrape by blowing sand. It is similar to Edo Kiriko, but the feature is that you can freely carve your favorite pictures and handwritten letters. Even if it's your first time, even if you don't have an artistic mind, you can create a wonderful work with a high degree of perfection! It takes only about 100 minutes to complete and is ready to take home. You can engrave Mt. Fuji, traditional Japanese patterns, names and dates on the glass, so it's perfect for traveling in Japan. *This plan is for foreigners, but Japanese people are also welcome to participate.
Engrave your favorite patterns and letters on the colorful engraving glass unique to Japan. It is easy even for the first time because the machine will do the scraping of the surface of the glass without drawing attention.
The classroom is just a few minutes away by train from the tourist spots of Asakusa and Akihabara. It is convenient because it is a 1-minute walk from JR Asakusabashi Station West Exit and a 3-minute walk from Toei Asakusa Line Asakusa Line Station.
Empty-handed is OK. There is nothing to prepare in advance.

Time schedule
Choose your favorite glass material. Choose your favorite from a colorful glass.
We have a variety of patterns, mainly Japanese patterns. We have prepared designs that foreigners will like, such as Mt. Fuji, fans, samurai and maiko.
Choose your favorite pattern and stick it on the surface of the glass. The pattern is a sticker and can be pasted on the surface of the glass.
Insert the blade into the outline of the handle with a cutter. Insert the blade along the outline of the pattern and leave the cut.
Peel off unnecessary stickers. Peel off all unnecessary stickers other than the surrounding picture.
Now you are ready to cut. Only the pattern is pasted. I'm going to sharpen it with a machine (sandblaster) from now on.
It is machined and sanded. In the machine, sand (abrasive) is pneumatically blown onto the surface of the glass to scrape off the red surface. The surface changed from red to white.
Remove the sticker of the pattern. Take it out of the machine and peel off all the pattern stickers. The red Maiko and the pattern of the fan have emerged.
Wash the glass with water. Rinse the glass with water. The pattern is clear.
photography That's all there is to it. Let's take a photo.
