Xie Kuniaki's Tomb, Waka Hachimangu Shrine, Hakata Millennium Gate

<Xie Kokumei> A Hakata merchant from the Song dynasty of China. He is a person who contributed to the development of Hakata by bringing Zen culture to Hakata, including the construction of Jotenji Temple. <Wakahachimangu Shrine> A popular shrine to ward off evil. On New Year's Eve, the Hakata Sennenmon Gate is a welcoming gate to Hakata. An 8m high wooden gate completed in March 2014. It is modeled after the "Tsujidoguchi Gate" that used to be here.

Jotenji Temple, Tochoji Temple, Mochikichi

<Jotenji> Built in Ninji 2 (1241). A Zen temple opened by Seiichi Kokushi, who is famous for Hakata Yamakasa. In addition to the stunning dry landscape garden, there is also a monument to the birthplace of udon, soba, and buns. <Tochoji Temple> Kukai, the founder of the Shingon sect, is said to be the first temple to open in Japan. You can also see Japan's largest wooden Buddha statue with a height of 10.8m completed in 1992 and the five-storied pagoda completed in 2011. <Mochikichi> A popular shop for rice crackers and rice cakes.
