Because it's hot in the summer... Summers in modern Japan are so hot that wearing a kimono isn't recommended, but since this is a rare opportunity, why not try wearing one indoors over your clothes?

It's free!! You can borrow a kimono for free if you just want to put it on over your clothes, so why not try wearing one? Feel free to take photos and videos and enjoy!

Calligraphy experience You will also have the opportunity to try grinding ink for a short time. After that, we will have a few examples prepared so you can choose the character you want to write and practice it on a piece of paper. We will also teach you how to hold the brush, your posture, and the key points of writing.

You can take the colored paper home with you. Finally, you will be asked to write your final copy on a colored paper. We also have stamps available. Translate your name into hiragana, stamp that character, and your work is complete! Of course, you can take home your finished work!

Matcha experience This is not a full-scale tea ceremony, but rather a casual experience for everyone to enjoy. There will be no complicated etiquette involved, and you will only be able to experience making matcha.

Let's make some matcha ♪ You will be asked to prepare the amount of tea you will be drinking yourself. Is this the first place in Japan where you can experience calligraphy and matcha at the same time? It's a rare and unusual experience, so I think it will be an unforgettable one.

"Nerikiri" "Nerikiri" is a Japanese sweet made with bean paste that is beautifully and delicately crafted to reflect the seasons.

Please enjoy ♪ I think matcha that you make yourself tastes even better. Try eating it with nerikiri.

Two at the same time in Fukuoka...only here!! If you would like to experience calligraphy and matcha at the same time, we look forward to seeing you in Fukuoka!
Time schedule

meeting time You can enter the room 10 minutes before the start.

I will introduce myself and explain the process of the experience. Let's have a little chat, including introducing ourselves. We'll serve you tea, so please relax first. After chatting, we'll explain the flow of the calligraphy experience, including how to hold the brush and posture.

Grind the ink. Before you start writing, first concentrate your mind and calm your mind while grinding the ink.

Let's write it!! Choose your favorite characters from the sample and try writing them! Corrections will also be provided.

Practice. Practice time is 30-40 minutes. Please practice a lot on Japanese writing paper.

Complete! !! Finally, you will write the final copy on a piece of colored paper. There is only one piece of colored paper, so show off the results of your practice! Then, stamp one character of your name in hiragana to complete the project.

Matcha experience If you're tired from calligraphy, you can just enjoy the matcha I prepared with some sweets (nerikiri), but if you're interested, please try making your own matcha. I think it will be a valuable experience.

Please enjoy some matcha and nerikiri. Nerikiri is a beautifully crafted sweet with bean paste. It is a Japanese sweet that reflects the season. Enjoy it with matcha tea.

thank you for your hard work!! The approximately 90-minute experience course has now come to an end. It's rare to have the chance to experience Japanese culture all at once, so if you're interested, please come along! We look forward to seeing you in Fukuoka!

It's free!! Due to the extreme heat of modern Japanese summers, wearing a kimono is not recommended, but since you are experiencing Japanese culture, we can lend you one for free if you just want to wear it indoors over your clothes. Feel free to take photos and videos while enjoying the kimono atmosphere.
