A matcha experience where you can enjoy matcha and sweets produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a casual style with seating at a table and chairs, and is recommended for those who want to be able to make matcha at home. The instructor will explain how to make matcha, the types of tools and how to use them, and basic hospitality. After enjoying the matcha made by the instructor, you can try making it yourself. The workshop will be conducted in Japanese, but assistants who speak English or German can be provided. Please contact us for other languages. The venue is a private room in a Japanese restaurant, a 5-minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station.

The base for marine activities! Yoron Island Seaman's Club! We will guide you to Yurigahama, the main symbol of Yoron Island! Yurigahama is a mysterious beach that can only be visited for one week around the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar. We will guide you on a glass boat. The white sand is called "star sand". It is named for its star shape, and it is said that if you take home as much sand from Yurigahama as your age, you will be blessed with good fortune. *Yurigahama only appears when certain conditions such as spring tide and tide level are met. If it does not appear, you will only be able to enjoy the glass boat tour. *The glass boat to Yurigahama is set to coincide with the lowest tide. Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other fabrics with plant dyes to create original handkerchiefs in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.
