Plan description

A matcha experience where you can enjoy matcha and sweets produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a casual style with seating at a table and chairs, and is recommended for those who want to be able to make matcha at home. The instructor will explain how to make matcha, the types of tools and how to use them, and basic hospitality. After enjoying the matcha made by the instructor, you can try making it yourself. The workshop will be conducted in Japanese, but assistants who speak English or German can be provided. Please contact us for other languages. The venue is a private room in a Japanese restaurant, a 5-minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station.

Practice making matcha at home

The main focus is on practicing basic manners and how to make matcha so that participants can enjoy matcha in their daily lives. The instructor will be by your side to provide guidance. You are welcome to take photos and videos of the experience!

We only serve matcha made from tea leaves grown in Kagoshima Prefecture and locally produced sweets.

Assembly point

The Miyabi venue is on the second floor of the building, and Shochu Bar Suehirogari is on the first floor. The entrance to the venue is difficult to find, so we can pick you up in front of the Kagoshima Central Post Office.
