“Amami no Sato” is a tourist facility where you can experience the nature, culture, and lifestyle of Amami, even though it is located on the mainland of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a plan to make an original bracelet using Oshima Tsumugi thread produced in the workshop in the hall. A bracelet made by inserting a wish written inside the braid is very popular as a wonderful memorial! The length is made to suit the customer, so it can also be used as an anklet! After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.

初めてで見た目、簡単そうでしたが中腰の体勢が地味に疲れました。ちょっと油断すると移動させる糸を間違えたりしましたが、係の人が視ていてくれて無事組上がりました。ブレスレットに仕上がったのを見たら感無量でした。機械があったらまた挑戦したいです。

Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other fabrics with plant dyes to create original handkerchiefs in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.

初めての草木染体験でしたが、係りの方が丁寧に説明、お手伝いしてもらえたので、難しくなく高齢の両親でも楽しく作ることが出来ました。出来たものをそのまま持ち帰れるので、帰りには1人ずつ違った柄を見て楽しみました。施設の植物や日本庭園は手入れが行き届いていて素晴らしかったです。また、同じ施設内のレストランも利用しましたが、奄美の郷土料理「鶏飯」もとても美味しかったです。施設入口の受付の方はとても親切で、食事と体験のお手配もしてもらえてとても助かりました。

一日かけて海で遊べました( ¨̮ )！海に入るの自体8年ぶり、さらに潜ったりの経験が無かったので正直不安でしたが、丁寧にわかりやすく教えて頂けたので素直に楽しめました☆ シュノーケリングも沢山させてもらいました！ショップのオーナーさんがとても良い方で、時間いっぱい色んな遊びをさせてもらい、本当に楽しかったです！海がめちゃくちゃ好きになりました( ＾

受付の方も、着付けの方もみなさん優しくて、一人での参加でしたがとても良い体験になりました。着物や帯や帯紐は、数種類の中から好きな組み合わせを選び、髪飾りも貸して頂けました。着付けしていただく場所も、しっかりとしたお着換え部屋で、丁寧に着付けていただきました。奄美の庭園も雰囲気がとてもよいです。写真を何枚もとっていただき良い思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。
