Shiratani Unsuikyo is a forest of greenery and water, which is the image of Yakushima The full-day tour walks the primeval forest course. There are various types of moss in this wetland area it is the best attraction in Shiratani Unsuikyo! After passing the Shiratani hut, you will arrive at the Moss Forest. After passing the moss forest, crossing the Tsuji Pass, and climbing the steep uphill, you will arrive at Taikoiwa. From Taikoiwa, you can see Mt. Miyanoura, the highest peak Kyushu In spring, it is a beautiful view with wild cherry blossoms blooming all over. On the way back, we will return along the Kusugawa sidewalk. On the way, you can see big cedars such as seven cedars and kuguri cedars. There are several rivers running through Shiratani Unsuikyo, which may be closed due to danger during heavy rains. In that case, change to Yakusugi Land.
