An experience you can only have here! Put on a dry suit and walk on the drift ice! Drift ice comes ashore on the coast of Okhotsk from late January. At its peak, the coast of Utoro is covered with pure white drift ice, creating a scene that you won't find anywhere else in Japan. Wear a special dry suit and walk on and touch the drift ice. This is a tour that introduces the culture related to Mt. Fuji led by a local guide. The place to guide you is the Mt. Fuji area of Fuji Kawaguchiko Town and Fuji Yoshida City, where Mt. Fuji and the Fuji Five Lakes are located. Mt.Fuji is wonderful to see, but learning about the culture surrounding Mt.Fuji shows how the local people have interacted with Mt.Fuji. (Example: Maps draw north at the top, but maps of this area draw Mt. Fuji at the top. From Fujiyoshida City, Mt. Fuji is located south, so you can get a mysterious map. Canoeing and ice play in the pure white Kushiro Marsh under the 946 blue sky. This is your chance to encounter the fantastic Kushiro Marsh!!! The field is the "Alekinei River", a tributary of the Kushiro River that flows through Kushiro Marsh National Park, and "Lake Toroko", the largest lake in the Kushiro Marsh. The canoeing starts from Lake Toroko and takes about 60 minutes of river watching, going back and forth on the Alekinei River. The narrow and shallow Alekinei River is the perfect spot to find wild animals and winter wonders.
