Visit to the former Togawa family house Mt. Fuji has long been believed to be the mountain where God dwells, and people from all over the country have visited to worship Mt. Fuji. A person who belongs to a temple or shrine and guides and takes care of worshipers is called a master. In order to worship Mt. Fuji as a god, the master of Fujiyoshida took care of and prayed for those who worshiped and climbed Mt. Fuji instead of a specific temple or shrine. Therefore, it came to be called "Fujioshi". Master Fuji provided the worshipers with their own residence as a shukubo. The shukubo is called "Master's House".
Visit to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Asama Shrine One of the World Heritage constituent assets. With a history of more than 1900, Yamato Takeru worshiped the spirit of Mt. Fuji in this area during an expedition to the east, and said, "Worship Mt. Fuji from the north." It is said that the shrine was built and enshrined. The starting point of the mountain trail at the north exit (Yoshida exit) of Mt. Fuji. Kagura is also performed at the Kaisan Eve Festival held on June 30th and the "Fire Extinguishing Festival (Yoshida Fire Festival)" held on August 26th and 27th every year. Eleven buildings in the precincts, including the main shrine, are designated as national important cultural properties.
Funatsu Lava Tree Mold (inside the father's womb, inside the mother's womb) A cave where trees are taken in and solidified when lava flows down and the traces of burning trunks remain as cavities is called a lava tree type. Among them, the one whose internal form resembles that of a womb that has been hollowed out from the human internal organs is called "the womb" and becomes the object of worship. became. The Funatsu Lava Tree Mold and the Yoshida Lava Tree Mold are typical examples. Since both were close to the Yoshidaguchi mountain trail, they were emphasized by many Fujiko followers, and the two "Seikoen lava" were positioned as a series of sacred sites. The Fujiko followers who go around the womb visited "Seikoen lava" the day before the worship, went around the cave to cleanse themselves, and then returned to the master's house to prepare for the next day's worship. Inside the cave, Konohanasakuyahime, the incarnation of Asama Omikami and the deity of Mt. Fuji, is enshrined. In addition, the lava tree type, including the Funatsu Lava Tree Mold, resembles the organs of the mother's womb, which is the origin of life. We are cultivating a tradition that emphasizes coexistence with nature.
Forest walk (around Funatsu Lava Tree Mold) * We will inform you about the lava tree type, the eruption history of Mt. Fuji, basalt, etc., which are rare in the world.
