Plan description

Canoeing and playing on the ice in the pure white Kushiro Wetlands under the 946 blue sky. This is your chance to encounter the fantastic Kushiro Wetlands!!! The fields are the ``Arekinai River'', a tributary of the Kushiro River, which flows through Kushiro Wetlands National Park, and the largest lake in the Kushiro Wetlands, ``Lake Toro''. The canoe starts from Lake Toro and goes back and forth on the Arekinai River for about 60 minutes of river watching. The narrow, shallow, gentle Alekinay River is the perfect spot to spot wildlife and winter wonders. Please enjoy the delicate winter objects that can only be seen by canoeing and the silence that can only be experienced by canoeing. After canoeing, you can try drilling holes in the ice on the lake?!?! The guide will take you through an experience that can only be done in winter. *We provide round-trip transportation from near Kushiro Station. You can participate without worrying about snowy roads. *A guide will accompany you, so even first-timers can enjoy the experience with confidence. *You will be making a round trip from Lake Toro to the Arekinai River (does not go to the main stream of the Kushiro River). *Dry suits will not be required as this will be an experience in a shallow river. Please be sure to protect yourself from the cold.

Dress code - Must bring items

○Please come in mid-winter clothes that are easy to move in (please wear layers such as tights under warm pants, and be sure to wear overpants over pants). ○ I often feel cold starting from my feet. Make sure to wear warm socks made of thick synthetic fibers or wool, layer them, and put a warmer on them to protect yourself from the cold. ○It is best to wear non-slip, waterproof snow boots (high-cut shoes are better). ○ Hats and mufflers must be made of fleece or knit. ○Gloves should be made of fleece or ski gloves. ○Additionally, it would be helpful to bring sunglasses (to prevent snow blindness as Kushiro has a high rate of sunny skies in winter), a warmer, pocket tissues, a camera, binoculars, and water. ○ Mask (Depending on the situation, you may be asked to wear one.
