Known as Japan's most dangerous national treasure, Mount Mitoku in Misasa Town, Tottori Prefecture, is home to the National Treasure Nageiredo. Surrounded by the fresh greenery of spring's forests and the yellow foliage of autumn's, try hiking the Shugendo trail to the Nageiredo. While you can view the Nageiredo from a remote worship site at the foot of the mountain, we recommend walking the Shugendo trail with all your heart and soul to purify your six senses and cleanse yourself of impurities, and then visit the Nageiredo up close. To get up close to the Nageiredo, even a short distance requires a rugged Shugendo walk, including climbing tree roots, climbing chains, and trekking over rocky mountains. While you'll be making the same return journey, the descent is also dangerous. Entering the mountain requires a minimum of two people, so solo travelers must travel with someone. Furthermore, trekking poles and other walking implements are not permitted, in order to protect the natural environment and maintain Shugendo traditions. The night view of Sapporo is counted as one of the New Three Great Night Views of Japan. Wear snowshoes or snow spikes, climb up from the bottom, and see the night view from the top of the mountain! The night view that you can see by climbing on your own feet is more satisfying than the easy access by gondola! You will be in the forest on the way up, but a spectacular night view awaits you at the top of the mountain! Night hiking and snowshoeing are OK even for the first time. Professional guides certified by the Japan Mountain Guide Association will provide support and lectures.

This is a snowshoe hiking tour that climbs Shioyama Maruyama in Shioya, Otaru City, Hokkaido near Sapporo. A professional guide will give lectures on the points of winter mountain walking. This is a recommended tour for those who want to challenge the winter mountains and want to make their snowshoe debut. We will aim for the summit on a route different from the summer road. From the forest road walk, we will reach the ridge and aim for the summit of 629m. A spectacular ocean view awaits you from the top of the mountain! After descending the mountain, if you wish, you can stop by a nearby hot spring.
